If you do not have access to Wi-Fi or require a mobile device for online participation for any of these activities, each Summit office (located in Kalispell, Ronan, Hamilton, or Missoula) has limited Kindle Fires and data packs available for loan. Activities will be online (virtual) and allow for in-person sessions if COVID-19 safety protocols allow. The grant will allow for the expansion of activities offered through Summit’s BASE social engagement and activity center including Adaptive Yoga, BASE Art Group, Cost-Effective Healthy Eating Workshop (CHEW), BASE Film Extravaganza, and Role-Playing Game Day. The funded project, “Promoting Fun and Friendship in the Time of COVID-19,” will focus on addressing the negative impacts of social isolation and loneliness that people living with paralysis, their families and caregivers, and others with disabilities have experienced due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
